First of all, we all do bad and wrong things. These bad things that we do are called sin. If you lied even once(even a white lie) you are a liar. If you have not honored your mother and father or other people, you are a sinner. If you have only stolen one thing, what does that make you? A thief. If you have even looked at another man or woman in a bad way while you are married, you have already cheated your husband in your heart. Romans 3:23 in the Bible says: “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” this means that everyone has sinned. You’ve sinned, I’ve sinned, pastors sin, teachers sin, EVERYONE HAS SINNED. Because of this sin, we fall short of the glory of God. We cannot get to Heaven because of the bad things we have done. You see, Heaven is perfect and sin isn’t allowed in. Romans 6:23 says:”for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.” The word wages means payment. The payment for sin is death. Because we are sinners, we deserve to go to hell when we die. So, how can we go to heaven? The other part of the verse says we can get eternal life in heaven because of Jesus. Romans 5:8 says:”God commended His love towards us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus took our punishment. Instead of us spending forever in hell, He died an awful and painful death on a cross. He was whipped and beaten to the point that He did not even look human, ALL FOR YOU. He paid for our sins. But, three days later he came back to life and is now in Heaven. He defeated death so we don’thave to worry about dying! Romans 10:13 says:”whoever will call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.” this means that if you pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins, He will forgive you and you can go to heaven. He offers complete freedom from all the bad things you have done. Your sins will be forgiven! Forgotten! You have to pray and ask Him to come into your life. The prayer itself doesn’t get you a personal relationship with God, it’s believing Jesus died for you and rose again and asking forgiveness for your sins. If you say a prayer and really mean it in your heart and not just in your head, you are forgiven of your sins and will go to Heaven when you die!!! These don’t have to be the exact words, but pray something like this:
Dear LORD,
I believe that you died on the cross for me. I also believe that you rose from the grave and are now in heaven. I’m very sorry for the wrong things I have done. Please forgive me of my sins and come into my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
If you just said that prayer, you are saved!!! Your sims are forgiven and you don’t have to be afraid of death because you will go to heaven instead of hell! Forgiveness is amazing. Forgivness is not a feeling, it is a promise God makes when He saves you forever and ever, and God never breaks His promises! Nothing can ever take that away from you. Angels in heaven rejoice now because you have made that decision. Now you need to get baptized, read the Bible, come to church, and pray to grow in your new faith.
